6 months sounds like a long time to be on a medicine. Well trust me, it seems much longer when that medicine has side effects that include: dry & peeling skin, eczema, increased sensitivity to the sun, muscle and joint pain, dry eyes & scalp, & tangly hair.
I find myself craving chocolate about 84% of the time. So as you can imagine, I’m a huge fan of anything containing chocolate.
And brownies they usually contain a little bit of chocolate 🙂 which makes them one of my favorites.
Brownies are rich, chocolatey, sweet, decadent, and sadly loaded with sugar, carbs, and calories.
Essential oils are great. They can infuse rooms with welcoming fragrances or be used to positively influence one’s health and wellbeing. I use EO’s both aromatically and topically, for a whole slew of things like migraines, nausea, and muscle pains.
I’m very fickle and whimsical about my hair. Over the years, I have had blonde highlights, red highlights, blonde “peak-a-boo” highlights, ombre, and multiple all-over, one color hair dyes.
Memorial day weekend has come and gone which means that summer is officially here. Which, for me, means my family is demanding that I make an ice box cake for every summer get-together or special event.

Sometimes I really just want a syrup-drenched stack of pancakes. Unfortunately, starting the morning off with all that sugar and all those empty calories leaves me feeling grossly full and groggy.
People either love oatmeal raisin cookies or they hate them. You don’t find many people who are lukewarm about them. Something about the raisins just rub people the wrong way.
I love to sleep. Slightly out of character for a college student, but I have to have at least 7 hours of sleep to properly function as a human being. I’m not a good person without those 7, undisturbed, blissful hours of sleep.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am not a morning person. At all. So don’t mistake this “tips for a better morning” post as me having glorious mornings where I wake up peacefully at 6 am, spring gracefully out of bed and start my day with light and love because well, that is not how my mornings go down at all. I’m a HUGE fan of the snooze button and will basically stay in bed until the last possible second.
In January, one of my goals for 2016 was to start meditating. For Christmas I got a new journal that said “be mindful” on the cover and I really wanted to actually start, well, being mindful.
